Jim Landis

Jim has been in the fire service for 20 years. He is currently employed with Gastonia Fire Department as a Fire Educator, Fire Inspector and Public Information Officer, and is a volunteer firefighter with Blowing Rock Fire & Rescue.

He graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. He also has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science Technology from Central Piedmont community College.

Jim is actively involved as Coordinator of Safe Kids Gaston County and serves as Treasurer on the Gaston County Firefighters’ Burned Children Fund.
