Chad has served with the North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation for over eight years. He previously served with the Swift Creek Fire Department (Wake) for 5 and a half years, and the Garner Fire Department (Wake) for one year.
He has been an officer with the Wake County Firefighters Association for over three years.
Chad is a fire photographer in the Triangle area. He is also a contributor to the Garner Citizen Newspaper. In addition to being the in charge of the web presence for the NCFFF, he owns the fire service web business InternetFD.com.
