RALEIGH - Wake County EMS has released a new numbering scheme for all EMS agencies in Wake County. Several different systems were previously in use, but a comprehensive system will now be utilized. All EMS resources in the county are dispatched by Raleigh-Wake County 911. The new system is expected to be operational on November 28th.

Wake County EMS units will utilize EMS 1 through EMS 39. Holly Springs 1471 will be renumbered EMS 6. District Supervisors 203, 204 and 205 will change to Districts 1, 2 and 3 respectively.

Apex 471, 472 and 473 will change to EMS 41, 42 and 43. Cary 571, 572, 573 and 574 will become EMS 51, 52, 53 and 54. 580 will be renumbered District 5.

Eastern Wake EMS units that serve Wendell, Knightdale and Zebulon will utilize EMS 61 through EMS 69. 602 will become District 6. Garner 871 to 875 will be renumbered EMS 81 to 85.

Six Forks EMS units will be EMS 121-125. Rolesville units will be EMS 151 and 152.
