Firefighter On Stand-by Duty Collapses,
Dies
MARTIN COUNTY - Willie
Price, 58, a twenty-seven year veteran of the Jamesville Community
Fire Department of Martin County, died Sunday.
Price was standing by with an engine company during an annual
Easter fireworks event. He collapsed at the scene and was later
pronounced dead at Martin General Hospital.
He collapsed while standing beside the pumper he had driven to the
annual event, according to Fire Chief Randy Gardner.

The arrangements are as follows:
A Wake will be held from 1900-2030 hours on Wednesday, April
19, at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston. Funeral services will be
held at 1400 Tuesday.
