Volunteer Firefighter Dies Responding to
Crash

CONCORD - Volunteer
Firefighter James Earl Arthur, age 19, was killed Monday evening,
February 11 at approximately 1924 hours. Firefighter Arthur was
responding in his personal vehicle to a reported MVC with
entrapment.
Arthur was a Junior Firefighter with the Cold Water Volunteer Fire
Department of Cabarrus County.
He was thrown from his vehicle during the crash. He was not
wearing a seat belt.
The arrangements are as follows:
Viewing at Wilkinson's Funeral Home, 100 Branchview Drive,
Concord, NC on Friday, February 15th. Family will receive from
1700 to 2030 hours.
Funeral services to be held Saturday, February 16th at 1400 hours
followed by a graveside service. Funeral to be held at New Gilead
Church, 2400 Old Salisbury Road, Concord, NC.
