SURF CITY - Surf City has received a new Pierce Dry-Side Contender Tanker mounted on a Kenworth T-300 three-man cab. The rig features a 300 hp Cummins ISC engine with 2008 emission controls and filtering and an Allison automatic transmission. It has a 1,250 gpm single stage side-mount Waterous pump and a 2,100 gallon tank. Special features include a rear Newton dump with remote electric actuators on the rear of the truck and in the cab, eight inch extendable side dumps with pneumatic actuators on the rear and in the cab, passenger side manual drop-tank storage rack, Code 3 halogen and LED lighting and siren.

The unit was sold by Wade Farrior of Triad Fire.
