WILMINGTON - The City of Wilmington has
taken delivery of a new 2006 Sutphen Tower Ladder, SPH 100. The unit
features a larger than normal working platform, 230" wheelbase for
increased maneuverability and a five section aerial.
The platform is capable of flowing 2000 gpm. The unit also features
a Buckeye Roto-Ray, as does most of Wilmington's larger front line
equipment.
This is the third tower for Wilmington. Their original unit
delivered in 1988 that served at Tower 1 and then Tower 2 is now
available as a reserve unit.
