Concrete Supply Shows Support for Firefighters
CHARLOTTE – Firefighter Craig Johnson and Chief Ron J. Cheves had a discussion about raising public awareness of the fire service following the annual Laps for Life Blood Drive at the Charlotte Motor Speedway this year.
Johnson is also a driver for Concrete Supply, a local ready-mix concrete company. Johnson contacted his leadership, and along with Cheves and the Directors from the North Carolina Fallen Firefightes Foundation, all parties set out to create a unique message delivered in a creative way.
The drum of the truck was painted red and features the classic “Thin Red Line”, the logo of the NCFFF and the words “We Support the Fire Fighters of the Greater Carolinas”.
Johnson and Cheves would like to thank the leaders and employees at Concrete Supply and the Directors of the North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation for their support for this project.
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – A firefighter from Greensboro died Sunday after collapsing 500 yards from the finish line of the Chicago Marathon.
