Distinguished Fire Buff:
Jerome Wayne "Spanky" Greer, Jr.

1952-2006

MON DEC 25
FIRENEWS.NET EDITOR IN CHIEF JEFF HARKEY
WILMINGTON - Wayne "Spanky" Greer, Jr. passed away Saturday December 23 at his residence in Wilmington after a lengthy illness. Wayne was a well known fire buff not only in our state but around the country. He was a member of many buff associations and was best known as a prolific fire apparatus photographer.

As a tribute to Wayne, I have started an online gallery of some of his recent photographs that he entrusted me with. These galleries will be uploaded in a series, as there were many CDs he gave to me just before his passing. Wayne also shared with me his patch collection, which we will also be uploading in the future.

Rest in peace, friend.
