DAVIDSON COUNTY - On December 07
at 0945 hours, the Tyro Rural Fire Department responded to a
two-story wood frame residence with heavy fire showing in the rear
of the structure. Tyro received automatic mutual aid from Churchland,
Reeds and Linwood Fire Departments. The Red Cross was called to
assist the residents.

CARY - On November 23 at 2310
hours, Cary Communications dispatched a full first alarm assignment
for a telephone call reporting an apartment fire at 1123 Renshaw
Court. Engines 3 and 2, Ladder 3, Rescue 2, Truck 6 and Battalion
Chiefs 1 and 2 responded along with Cary EMS. Upon dispatch, hearing
that there were multiple calls being received, Battalion 1 requested
additional assistance from Engine 6 and Ladder 5.
On arrival of Engine 3, bystanders reported the possibility of
people trapped in a ground floor unit. This proved to be false after
a quick primary search. The fire was contained in 45 minutes using
three handlines.

JOHNSTON COUNTY - Four persons
were injured, one seriously, after a concrete truck and a semi
collided Saturday at the intersection of Wendell Road and Lake
Wendell Road. It took nearly an hour for Archer Lodge and Clayton
firefighters to free the driver.

DENVER - The Denver Fire
Department along with Sherill's Ford-Terrell responded to two
outbuildings and a grass fire on Sunday on Bud Road. Upon the
arrival of Engine 14, companies found the fire extending to a single
wide mobile home. Additional manpower was called from Bandy's
Crossroads. The cause of the fire was determined to be due to a fire
in a barrel that was unattended.

Tower 73 arrived yesterday. The rig still needs lettering and
equipment mounted. Once the graphics are completed, we'll feature
the unit in our New Deliveries column. With this addition, all front
line truck will be blue.
