BLADEN COUNTY -
The
Elizabethtown fire department along with Clarkton and Lisbon fire
departments responded to this fire today. The fire is being
investigated by the EFD, Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, and the
State Bureau of Investigation.

Johnston County Serious MVC

JOHNSTON COUNTY -
U.S. Highway 70 near Selma was shutdown for two hours in both
directions Thursday morning after a car traveling the the wrong
direction collided head-on with a fully loaded gasoline tanker and
then slammed into a van.
Nine people were injured, two were airlifted from the scene to
Trauma Centers. Selma Fire and EMS, Pine Level Fire, Princeton
EMS, Smithfield Fire and EMS and Four Oaks EMS responded. Sixty
gallons of diesel spilled from the trucks fuel tanks. Emergency
Management assisted and Selma Foam stood by.

Design Awards Program was recently held in Charlotte as part of
the Fire Station Design Symposium. Shown at top is the top award for
New Construction, a new station in British Columbia. Pictured below

Haywood County Fatal MVC

HAYWOOD COUNTY -
On November 10th, a Sylva woman traveling east on Highway 19/23 near
Exit 105 lost control of her SUV. The car hit the center guardrail
then flipped, ejecting the driver. She was flown to Mission Hospital
where she died the next day. Two children in the vehicle were
transported with minor injuries.
