CASWELL COUNTY - Captain Michael Dean Stanfield, 35, a twelve year firefighting veteran with the Anderson Township Volunteer Fire Department died Sunday, September 9, 2007.

Arrangements have now been posted.

KENLY - Kenly and Rock Ridge Fire responded for a single vehicle rollover on Interstate 95. The crash pinned two and ejected two children. Kenly extricated the driver while Rock Ridge established the landing zone. I-95 was shut down for 90 minutes.

Three Departments Respond to House Fire

SURRY COUNTY - Fourway, Bannertown and Franklin were dispatched Tuesday morning to a working residential structure fire. First arriving units arrived to find heavy black smoke showing from Division A. An aggressive interior attack was performed limiting the amount of fire spread to the room of origin and the attic space directly above.
