Flags at the North Carolina Fallen Firefighter's Memorial in
Raleigh have been lowered to half-staff in honor of the fallen
brothers.
The International Association of Fire Chiefs is asking all U.S.
fire department to observe a moment of silence tonight beginning
at 1900 hours in honor of those lost in this tragedy.

RV Fire on Interstate 26

COUNTY - Firefighters responded
to this Winnebago fire on Interstate 26 near Upward Road around 1500
hours Sunday. The driver and his grandson were able to remove some
belonging before the fire grew too intense. No injuries were
reported.

SUV Strikes Tanker Truck

ROLESVILLE - Around 0500 hours
on June 2, a SUV carrying several teenagers struck a loaded gasoline
tanker. The SUV was destroyed in the resulting fire. Amazingly, no
injuries were reported in either vehicle.

Falls Holds Ceremony for New Pumper

WAKE COUNTY - The Falls Fire
Department of northern Wake County held a "Wet Down" and "Housing
Ceremony" Saturday for their newest rig, Pumper 212. Durham Highway,
Stony Hill and Brassfield assisted. The 2007 Pierce Contender
(1250/1000/20) is part of the recent large delivery for county
departments. "Pumper" will be the county's new designation for a "Pumper-Tanker."
