ROCKINGHAM
- At 0230 hours Monday, the East Rockingham Fire Department was
dispatched to a fully involved structure fire on Railroad Street.
Fire was reported in all rooms. Knock down was achieved in 45
minutes. Cordova Fire responded Tanker 952 to assist.

WINSTON-SALEM - On Monday around 0910 hours, Winston-Salem Truck 2
was in the area of Cunningham Avenue and responded to Oracle
Packaging to find an explosion and fire in the industrial plant.
Fortunately there were no injuries to employees, although the
plant suffered extensive damage. Units responding: Trucks 2, 1, 5,
Engines 4, 1, 11, 5, Battalion Chiefs 1 and 2 and Air 1.

JOHNSTON COUNTY -
Princeton Fire and EMS responded to a man critically injured
when his best friend was horse playing with his car, lost
control, and pinned him against a brick wall. The man was
airlifted to Duke via LifeFlight.

FLETCHER - At 0645 hours, Engine
4 and Engine 11 responded to a MVC on Interstate 26 near Exit
44. Engine 4 arrived to find a two-vehicle collision with
rollover and a fuel spill. Engine advised no entrapment or
injuries.
While clearing the scene, Dispatch reported a multiple vehicle
crash on westbound Interstate 26 before Exit 44. Engine 4, 11
and Truck 11 along with Mountain Home Rescue 17 responded. On
arrival, Engine 4 found an eight vehicle crash with no
entrapments and fortunately on one injury. Traffic was backed
up for three miles.

CARY - Cary firefighters
perform ventilation and overhaul after extinguishing this early
morning fire in a commercial building on February 4th. Engine 4
arrived before dawn to find smoke pushing from the two-story office
building. Multiple lines were put into service to control the fire
that destroyed much of the second floor. Units responding: E4, R4,
E5, L5, T7 and Battalion Chief 2.

LINCOLN COUNTY - On Friday,
February 16 at 1201 hours, Pumpkin Center and Denver Fire were
dispatched to a possible structure fire. Pumpkin Center units
arrived to find an abandoned house fully involved. Due to limited
access to the house as well as no water supply nearby, Boger City
was added to the call. Engine 112 was the only unit able to make it
to the structure so LDH was laid and a water shuttle established.
Crews placed several hose lines in operation and the fire was
brought under control by members from all three departments. Units
responding: Pumpkin Center E110, E112, S116, T117; Denver E14, E12,
L10; Boger City E41.
