FEATURED SHOT
SAT FEB 10
DOLPHIN STADIUM, MIAMI-DADE COUNTY,
FLORIDA - Special Operations Teams from the Department of Homeland
Security rappel onto the field from two choppers during exercises
the week before Super Bowl XLI. Teams practiced two evolutions with
a total of three choppers on Wednesday, January 31.
What is not visible in the above photo are the cables that criss-cross
the upper levels of the stadium for the "Sky-Cam," which is the
robotic camera used for all the shots that give the appearance
similar to a
video game. Chopper pilots had to carefully negotiate their way into
and out of the bowl with respect to the cabling, light towers, etc.
(Editor's Note: Photo withheld
from publication until after the game for security reasons.)
