vehicle crash Tuesday morning, the first LODD in the U.S. for
2008.

several businesses on Fort Bragg Road near Bragg Boulevard on
December 29th. Several county units responded companies to the
scene and for coverage.

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA - Regional resources are used to protect "The
Granddaddy of Them All" at the annual Rose Bowl game held in
Pasadena.
Editor's note: The next time you are specifying an emergency
lighting package, look at including a steady burning red front
facing light. You'll be surprised at how effective it is. This
requirement (as well as the more common rear facing amber) has been
a California requirement for decades.

Multiple Concord Fires

CONCORD -
The City of Concord Department of
Fire and Life Safety was dispatched on Wednesday December 26, 2007
to a series of fires in the Southwest corner of Concord. The first
dispatch was at 2:25 am in reference to a church on fire. Upon
arrival firefighters found a church fully involved with fire.
While firefighters worked diligently to extinguish this fire, a
report of a house with smoke and flames visible was spotted by a
nearby neighbor at 2:37am. Firefighters quickly extinguished this
fire and returned to assist with the church fire.
At 5:18 am additional units were dispatched to an out-building on
fire located at 616 Main St SW. Four engines, two rescues, and two
ladders responded to these fires with additional support units.
These fires are still under investigation at this time.

Fatal Christmas Eve Crash

WILSON COUNTY - This Christmas Eve collision occurred at the
intersection of London Church Road and Lake Wilson Road. One person
was killed and another was airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital. On
arrival, Rescue 28 found two entrapments. Agencies responding
included Wilson Fire-Rescue, Elm City Emergency Services, Toisnot
Rural Fire and Wilson County Rescue Squad.
