POLK COUNTY – The Green Creek Fire Department held its Annual Awards Dinner and Banquet on Saturday, January 21st.

The following awards were presented:

Firefighter of the Year
Lambret Ridings

Junior Firefighter of the Year
Ethan Edwards

Rookie Firefighter of the Year
Crystal Cordell

First Responder of the Year
Benjamin Wagner

Officer of the Year
Jeremy Reid

A Special Award was given to Honorary Chief William Page who has 48 years of service with Green Creek Fire Department. Chief Page was honored for his service to the citizens of Green Creek for 25 years as a First Responder. Chief Page was one of the Charter members of the Polk County First Responder Program which was responsible for the first responders before the Fire Department assumed the responsibility of the First Responder program and started providing ambulance service in 2008.
