Lumber Bridge Fire Department

Robeson County

ROBESON COUNTY – In October 2011, the Lumber Bridge Volunteer Fire Department in Robeson County took delivery of a new Rosenbauer Pumper.  The unit was sold and delivered by Tim Hall, Sales Representative for C.W. Williams & Co., LLC.

The Fire Department chose an International 4400 2-door extended cab.

The extended cab provides for additional storage in the cab thru roll-up doors accessible from outside each side of the cab.  The truck has a MaxxForce 330hp engine and Allison EVS3000 transmission.

The truck will carry 750 gallons of water and has a Waterous CGVK pump rated at 1000 gpm.  A FoamPro 1600 system has been added to the pump.  The truck is also set up for pump and roll operations with a TFT bumper turret that is controlled by a joystick in the cab.

Rosenbauer’s 3/16″ FX body style has full depth and full height compartments on both sides of the truck.  This was a primary design need as this truck represents the Department’s entry into rescue.

In addition to normal firefighting equipment, the department also purchased a considerable amount of Amkus rescue equipment that was supplied and mounted on the truck by CW Williams.  The  Command Light LED light tower mounted on the cab will be a great aid in rescue operations as well.
